The Deal With It game uses real-life situations and questions in a short discussion format to determine how best to handle customer service scenarios. Team member participants learn directly how service is to be delivered because the ‘correct approaches’ and answers are given by management.
68% of customers who have had a "poor customer service experience" never go back to the offending business. The solution is an experience made memorable through active participation.
Participants take turns answering how they would deal with a real-life situation; others are allowed to challenge answers and offer alternatives. While the thought process is similar to role-playing, Deal With It is much faster moving and engaging. After exploring the additional thoughts and alternative solutions to the various scenarios, your team learns how you want things done and why. This greater policy understanding leads to an empowered workforce.
Deal With It is designed to give your leaders and managers the tools to encourage everyone to participate and yet prevent any one person from dominating these discussions. The basic game set includes 121 general customer service Question cards, Challenge cards to give the facilitator more control over their discussion group, and Point cards to give positive reinforcement to proper attitudes and answers. You can try out a few samples with your team here, and see our video and example of play here.
Deal With It is easy and flexible, and you can begin minutes after the box is opened! The rules are simple and easy to read. A manager or facilitator can read the entire Rule Card in less than two minutes, and most participants are ready to play after reading the included Example of Play in less than 35 seconds! It requires no special equipment, does not use a board, allowing for large training groups. It can be used with groups from 3 to 300, and in 5 to 10 minute sessions if time is short. It fits perfectly for daily or weekly pre-shift meetings to keep skills sharp and service a top priority.
From the beginning of its development, Deal With It was designed to be customized for dozens of specific businesses. Rather than produce more than 180 versions of Deal With It, we created the basic game containing the common game components mentioned above, and each game comes with one free industry specific customer service module so your set arrives with more than 200 service situations and questions. Please call or email if you do not see a service training game module for your service or industry. We usually create new modules to fill any gaps when needed.
The game and short discussion training format proved to be so successful and popular; many requests were received for additional training subjects. Deal With It can be used to provide game format training for many business critical subjects, such as business etiquette, business ethics, and diversity. These additional training topic modules include Answer Guides to help you with suggested societal norms and generally accepted best practices. The complete list can be seen here.
